dmxRapper DMX is really trying to make a comeback after being released from jail back in May following a string of arrests over the past two years.

While he’s continuing to work on new music, his most recent attempt to get back into the spotlight is by entering the world of mixed martial arts (MMA).

The rapper is set to fight in an upcoming bout in December against a member of his management team, as a part of an event being put on by Thunder Promotions in Birmingham, Alabama.

kimbosliceDon’t call it a comeback, because Kimbo Slice’s popularity among MMA fans didn’t die with his surprising loss last year. He’s still able to draw in fans, and with his recent appearance on Spike’s “The Ultimate Fighter: The Heavyweights,” he’s made that apparent.

According to the LATimes.com, his presence in the new season of the UFC reality show drew in more viewers than ever before — 4.1 million viewers tuned in for the debut and another million watched the show’s replay. That number is double what the series usually draws, compared with all its previous seasons.

It’s evident, Kimbo is this season’s draw.
