Police confirm body found in well is community activist Lenny Harris

Prince George’s County Police said the victim was Lenwood “Lenny” Harris, 53, of Alexandria.
After an autopsy, police are investigating the death as a homicide.
The extraction came more than 48 hours after police received an anonymous tip that the body was located in the well behind an abandoned home in the 11900 block of Old Fort Road.
NBC 4′s Darcy Spencer spoke to Alexandria mayor Bill Euille over the phone Sunday night. Euille says he sends his sympathies to the family of Lenny Harris. And says it’s not the outcome the community was hoping and praying for.
